Summer of 2006 Revisited
We stayed in Tossa de Mar, which is a pretty place with two good beaches, some excellent sea food restaurants and great hiking in the hills.
While in Tossa, we visited Lloret de Mar, Montserat and Barcelona. Lloret is an uncharming little place with thousands of tourists and an aboulutely crowded beach.
The trip to Montserrat was wonderful: The train trip up the mountan was great, the mountain itself is surreal and beautiful, the view is stunning and the monastery is peaceful and has some nice shops.
In Barcelona, we focused on Gaudí and Miro, two great artists who are world renowned and who lived in Barcelona. But it wasn't all culture, we also had a lot of great tapas and refreshing cava :)
